Ashley Hodge: One of Canada’s Rising Stars
At Guelph Line Dental we consider our patients part of our family. And just like with all families, we get extremely proud and excited when one of us excels in something they love! This could not be more true than with one of our younger patients, 14 year old Ashley Hodge!
At first glance Ashley might seem no different than any high-achieving teenager. She attends Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School in Burlington where she pulls in top grades and where she ranks her favourite subjects as math and science. Just like most teenagers you know She loves hanging out with her friends in her spare time.
However, that’s where the similarities with the “norm” stop! Because Ashley isn’t just a normal teenager. She’s a normal teenager who also happens to be one of Canada’s rising swimming stars! In fact, don’t be surprised if by 2024 you hear her name mentioned among those vying for a spot on the Canadian Olympic Swimming Team!

Ashley, a member of the vaunted Dolphins Swim Club in Oakville, ON, began competitive swimming at age 9. Since then she has accumulated over 100 medals and trophies from competitions throughout Ontario, Quebec, the United States and Europe! What’s more, she holds two Dolphins Swim Club records in the 50M butterfly and 100M Butterfly! These exceptional performances have her ranked in the top 10 of swimmers her age in Canada!
Ashley has her eyes fixed on the future and doing what it will take to become the best swimmer she can…maybe even an Olympian! She has already participated in 4 training camps in Barbados, and plans on attending another camp in Barbados this year as well as Mexico and competing throughout the Caribbean.
We hope that you’ll join us here at Guelph Line Dental in cheering Ashley on as she strives to achieve heights few have reached, both in the pool and in life! We are so very proud of Ashley, and look forward to continuing to take care of her fantastic smile, just as she takes care of her dreams!
Go Ashley Go!!
If you know a Guelph Line Dental patient who is doing great things and want to tell us about it, send us a note! We’d love to share their great achievements!
